A native New Yorker, Lucy left her hometown area shortly after covering the events surrounding 9/11. Her photography of the 50th state includes working in President's Bush national press group to film/television and professional sports. Lucy Pemoni is a freelance photojournalist working with the Associated Press and Reuters New Service based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In addition to her news images, Lucy has been covering celebrity events and weddings for over 15 years. Bringing her journalistic style to each assignment.

Lucy was born and raised about 25 miles north of New York City, Lucy Pemoni is a graduate of the George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and University of Missouri-Columbia with a photojournalism degree. She has worked as a newspaper staff photographer in Connecticut, California, Nevada and New York before moving to Oahu, Hawaii.
